Cosultation and advice is
the backbone of good client relations and we recognise that clients dont
like to feel that the clock is ticking everytime they make a call. We often
provide free advice and for those clients who wish to know their fees before the event we are happy to provide a fixed price agreement for all services including a free helpline for the most common advisory issues.

General Tax Tips

Get your tax return in on time (by 30th October if paper submission) 31st
January if filed online.

Pay the tax on time (The tax is due on 31st January and interest is charged
from that date. 28th February is the absolute deadline to avoid a 5%
surcharge).
Keep all your tax related records.

The Revenue only guarantee to calculate your tax if you get your return to
them before 30th September. Otherwise you may need an accountant to help you
complete the calculations on your return.

Use an Accountant - The revenue will help you calculate your tax 'correctly'
but they do not usually help you to minimise your tax - Would you ask a
crocodile to help you across a river.

The revenue have more power to start 'enquiries' and they do not have to
give you a reason for looking in to your tax affairs.

Our History

Bollands was founded 20 years ago when John H Bolland set up the practice and begantrading
from offices in Stratford Upon Avon.In 2000 David Delve took over the practice when JHB
fell ill.

David and his supporting team introduced levels of expertise into
a local practice which were only hitherto available from large and expensive
city centre practices. David a former advisory accountant to the Inland
Revenue was able to bring his individual expertise on taxation matters and
his connections with other firms of accountants to whom he acts as a
consultant.

David also has background experience of periods of working in
industry and gives that all round expertise in a practical manner when
advising clients.

David says "the client fundamentally wants piece of mind
that his accounts and taxation affairs are being dealt with in as efficient
and effective manners as possible, and that there will be the minimum of
fuss and expense from the Revenue and others" David adds "we at Bollands
have a low cost base working from new and serviced offices in Alcester which
are easily accessable and operating the most up to date electronic processes
for dealing with the authorities and clients alike."
